WHAT IS FAIR CREDIT BILLING ACT?

In Short: How much you are liable for fraudulent activity on your credit card, know your rights!

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your credit card company is prevented from holding you liable for more than $50 of fraudulent credit card charges. Should your credit card be used without your permission, you must make a claim and immediately notify your credit card company. Your credit card company will be able to inform you if you are held responsible for this $50 liability fee.

WHAT IS SECURE SOCKETS LAYER (SSL) ENCRYPTION?

In Short: It’s fancy “tech talk” for a way to protect your data.

As a company that utilizes a secured sockets layer (SSL) technology, Legends Limousine ensures the privacy of your personal data and payment information. This technology encrypts or scrambles your personal data (including your name, delivery and e-mail addresses, and credit card number and security code) before we receive it, thereby nearly eliminating the chance that anyone outside of Legends Limousine can gain access to it. Please be advised that some older Internet browsers and some firewalls are not equipped to allow communication through secure servers and will not enable you to connect to our server securely. You may choose to log in to the secure server via our standard servers, but your password will not be encrypted. If you have already safely saved billing information to your account, you can still order securely using your protected information. If you submit new billing information via standard servers, it will not be encrypted. Users can detect whether they are in secure mode if a “lock” or a “key” icon is displayed in the lower left-hand corner of your browser window. You can also check by looking at the address bar on top of your Internet browser. This line will typically show the first characters as Https://, when a secure connection has been established, rather than HTTP://, which indicates a connection that is not secured. If you prefer, you may place your order by telephone. Simply call Legends Limousine at 1.888.LEGENDS.

WHAT DOES NEW YORK STATE LAW SAY?

In Short: Because we operate in the state of New York we are subject to local laws and ordinances and so is this policy.

Accordingly, all services that are furnished to the user on (or through) the Sites are deemed to be furnished within the State of New York. All such services are being furnished by Legends Limousine through its personnel and computer equipment located within the State of New York.

All disputes arising out of, under, or in connection with this Policy (including without limitation, their validity, interpretation, performance, or breach) will be adjudicated exclusively in the federal or state courts located in (or having jurisdiction over) New York County, New York. This Policy and its validity and effect will be interpreted under and governed by, the laws of New York, without regard to its conflict of legislation and provisions. You expressly consent to the jurisdiction of such courts over you. You expressly waive any claim of forum inconvenient. You agree to reimburse Legends Limousine for its legal fees and expenses of instituting (or defending) a lawsuit by (or against) you.

IS THERE ANY LIMITATIONS?

In Short: While we make every effort to secure your data there is always the possibility of hackers and cyber-attacks.

While Legends Limousine aims to safeguard the privacy of each user, the company cannot (and does not) guarantee the security of any personally identifiable information submitted about your use of the Sites (or use of the services, or otherwise). Any such action is undertaken at your risk. You acknowledge that you are aware of security and privacy limitations including but not limited to: (1) the global accessibility of the Sites on the Internet; (2) the limitation of safety, privacy, and authentication measures and features in this Site; (3) the risk that data or information on the Sites may be subject to eavesdropping, sniffing, spoofing, forgery, spamming, “impostering”, tampering, breaking passwords, harassment, fraud, electronic trespassing, hacking, nuking, system contamination (including viruses, worms, and Trojan horses) causing unauthorized, damaging, or harmful access and/or retrieval of information and data on your computer; and (4) the risk that data or information on the Site, may be subject to other security or privacy hazards, may not reach its destination, or may reach an erroneous address or recipient.

Safeguarding the online privacy of children is a top priority for Legends Limousine. Therefore, minors under the age of 18 may not use or access our Sites. Should a child under 18 elect to use or access this Site, he (or she) should always ask a parent for permission before doing so. Personal information about the minor or their family will never be asked for or knowingly gathered by Legends Limousine. Because Legends Limousine is unable to prevent minors from accessing the Site, the responsibility to supervise minors in their online visitation activities rests with parents and guardians.

DOES THIS POLICY COVER IT ALL?

In Short: Yes, this and all terms of use on our SITES and services.

This Policy (and any other operating rules or terms posted on the Sites including, without limitation, the Terms of Use) constitute the entire agreement between Legends Limousine and you and supersede all previous written or oral agreements between Legends Limousine and you. No action (or inaction) by Legends Limousine may be construed as a waiver of this Policy (or any part). If any of the provisions of this Policy are held to be unenforceable by a court having competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Policy will continue in full force and effect.

DO WE COOPERATE WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT?

In Short: We are the good guys and will do our best to comply!

Legends Limousine fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. Legends Limousine reserves the right to release information to law enforcement agencies about users who Legends Limousine believes are in violation of this Policy.
