Reservations
+ How much time do I need prior to making a reservation?
Legends recommends that you make a reservation, twenty-four hours in advance to ensure availability, however we can always provide immediate requests. Also hours in advance is usually okay depending on availability and the approximate distance from New York City.
+ Can I call if I need a vehicle right away?
Yes you can. We will do our best to estimate the vehicle time of arrival but, in order to avoid the wait we strongly suggest making a reservation in advance at no additional charge.
+ What happens if I don't get a callback?

The client is responsible for being in the vehicle at the time of pick-up, even if client did not receive a call from Legends. Legends can't be responsible for calls which are not going through, or when a client provides a telephone for callbacks that is not working, or that's going to voice mail.

Waiting time charges starts from the scheduled time of pick-up.

+ How much notice is required to cancel a reservation?

Legends requests that our customers cancel the reservation in advance as follows:

Two Hours for pick-up's from:
- New York City (five boroughs)
- LGA Airport
- JFK Airport
- EWR Airport
- TEB Airport

Three hours for pick-up's from:
- ISP Mac Arthur / Long Island
- HPN White Plains / Westchester

Out of town pick-ups:
We request the approximate duration of the trip from mid-town Manhattan plus an additional hour for cancellation.

Travel
+ How much time should I allow for traveling to the airport?

The traffic flow between Manhattan to the airports is unpredictable. Please consult your airline and use common sense when booking your reservation. Add extra time for bad weather.rush hours and during holidays.

+ I made a reservation to be picked up at the airport, what should I do once I land?

If you request an inside pick-up, (Meet and Greet), please look for your driver at the baggage claim for domestic flights or at the custom exit for international flights, he will be holding a Legends sign with your name on it. For any reason, if you can not find your driver, please call us at (888) 534-3637, so we can connect you with your driver.

If you request an outside pick-up, just call us after you have picked up your luggage and a Legends dispatcher will direct you to go outside to meet your driver.

+ Does Legends provide free waiting time for airport pick ups?

Yes. You get 30 minutes free waiting time for Domestic flights and 45 minutes free waiting time for International flights. We check the arrival time with your airline, and change your order to reflect the new arrival time. Your free wait starts from that time.

If it takes you longer to retrieve your luggage, or if you come out later than the allotted free waiting time, you will be charged.

+ Is there an additional cost for Meet and Greet service?
Yes. Legends charges $15 more for this service, plus the client pays the parking fee at the airport, because the driver must park his vehicle to go inside the terminal.
+ How long does it take to get through immigration and customs at JFK Airport or Newark airport?
You never know for sure how long it takes to get through immigration and customs at JFK Airport or Newark airport, first you'll have to clear immigration and depending on how many other international flights have arrived around the same time yours did, it could take just a few minutes or up to 2 hours. Entering the United States with a U.S. passport is faster then a non-U.S. passport.
+ How many people and how much luggage can I fit into a sedan?
Our Lincoln town cars accommodate up to four passengers and up to four small-medium size luggage.
+ Do you charge more for extra luggage?
There is no charge for luggage if they fit in the trunk of the car, but there will be a charge of up to $10 per bag if placed inside the vehicle.
+ What if I have more than four passengers or more than four pieces of luggage?

Your can always request a mini-van. Our mini-vans fit up to seven passengers. (Please see chart below for passengers and luggage accommodations based on small-medium sized bags)

Payments and Tolls
+ How much should I tip?

Gratuities are at the discretion of the passenger when traveling in a regular sedan or mini-van and that usually ranges between 10-20%.

Charge accounts, 13 passenger vans, stretch limousines, stretch SUVs and buses are charged a mandatory 20% gratuity.

+ Who is responsible for tolls and how much are they?

The customer is always responsible for paying the tolls. Tolls may vary depending on the route the driver takes. The driver reserves the right to take the best route due to traffic of weather conditions. Here are some approximate toll amounts from Manhattan to and from some airports:

To and from JFK: $6.50
To and from LGA: $6.50
To and from NWK: $14.00

+ Can I pay for some one else using my credit card?

Yes you can, using one of the following options:

1. The best and most convenient way to prepay for a reservation is to use our website online at www.LegendsLimousine.com, click on 'MAKE AN ONLINE RESERVATION' and when you get to the form of payment, click on 'I WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR THE TRIP NOW'.

2. If you do not have access to the internet, please call us at (718) 788.1234 and ask for our prepaid fax form. Fill it out, sign it and please fax it back to (718) 422.0220.

*Please note we may request a copy of the front and back of your credit card along with the matching picture id.*

+ What form of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, and all major credit cards such as: Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover card. We also accept traveler's check.

*Please note we do not accept personal checks or diner's club card.*

+ How do I get a receipt if I pay cash?
You could always ask your driver for a cash receipt. If you forget, please call us at (718) 788.1234 to request a copy of your receipt and provide us with your name, telephone number, date of the trip, pick-up location/destination along with your total amount.
+ What are your procedures on waiting time and how much is the waiting time charge?

Waiting time charges may be incurred if passengers arrive late to a pick-up time. A nine minute courtesy is given on all reservations except airport pick-ups, which is 30 minutes free waiting time from the arrival time for outside (curbside pick-ups) and 45 minutes free waiting time for inside (meet and greet pick-ups). Waiting time charges are based on an hourly rate for a particular vehicle. Waiting time charges also apply on all additional stops after the complimentary 5 minutes expire and also apply on all round trips after the complimentary 15 minutes have expired.

Then you will have to collect your luggage which also can take just a few minutes or can take 15-30 minutes depending on how quickly the baggage handlers get your luggage from the plane to the baggage carousels, then it will depend whether the customs officers wave you through or single you out for further inspection and search your luggage, which once again it can take a few minutes or can take another 15-20 minutes.

+ How is my credit card charged?

If you need to pay by credit card, your card number will be taken at the time of the reservation for authorization purposes only. The amount of the authorization is 25% more then the actual fare to cover for any additional stops, waiting time, tolls, gratuity, etc. Please present the same card to the driver upon pick-up. The driver will then imprint of the card and provide a receipt for the signature. Please take your card back from the driver once you have totaled and signed your receipt. That amount will be charged to your credit card.

*Please note that it may take drivers up to a week from the date of the trip to bring in your signed receipt to be processed in our office and that is the date that will reflect on your statement NOT the actual trip date.*

Corporate Accounts
+ How do I open an account?
You can either do it on our web site, or contact our office at 1-888-534-3637. Or you can e-mail your request to Info@Legendslimousine.com
+ Can I use my account to reserve on the web site?
We encourage you to book your reservations on our web site. If you have a personal or corporate account with us, please contact our office to get a password for your account. And you can use your account for any trip,from anywhere. You always get a copy of your order and a confirmation number when you provide us with your e-mail address. You can also modify or cancel your reservations.
+ Can I build a profile for future usage?
Yes.You can build your own profile by creating a user name and a password for you to login evrytime you need to book a reservation on line After you book your first order our system will let you manage your reservations, preferences, save addresses and contact information, simplifying your reservation process, it also allows you to modify and cancel your reservation.
+ Is it safe to give my credit card details online?
All transactions with LegendsLimousine take place on a secure server using SSL encryption technology to ensure your personal and payment details are protected. To verify that you are shopping in a secure environment, a padlock will appear in your browser. It is normally in the status bar, towards the right hand side, at the bottom of your browser window.
Special Needs
+ Does Legends provide infant and toddler car seats?

Yes. We can provide you with either a rear-facing infant seat or a forward-facing toddler seat upon request.

*Please note: Our drivers will gladly assist you in installing the car seats, but please be advised it is your responsibility to make sure they are properly installed.*

+ Do you provide wheel chair accessible vehicles?
Yes we do. Please call in advance to make a reservation.
+ What is your policy on pets?

Legends gladly accommodates travelers with pets but, please keep the following in mind:

1. Must notify the operator when you make the reservation so we can accommodate you. If you fail to do so, the driver has the right to refuse transporting the pet.

2. All pets must be leashed or in a special carrier when traveling in a car.

3. All pets over twenty-five pounds must ride in a mini-van or a van, with the exception of service dogs.

Miscellaneous
+ Does Legends Car Service call when my car is on location?

In most cases you will receive a phone call from us when you driver arrives. Occasionally we are unable to call all passengers due to heavy call volume.

*Please note that you are responsible for waiting time charge from reservation time and not from the time we call. Nine minutes free waiting time is given on all reservations as a courtesy.*

+ Can the driver go inside the building to bring the luggage out to the car?
Unfortunately drivers can not leave their vehicles unattended but they will be pleased to assist you with your luggage from the side-walk to the vehicle.
+ Must I wear a seat belt in Legends vehicles?
No. We are for hire vehicles, therefore New York State Law's exempt passengers from all seat belt laws, but for your own safety we strongly recommend that you wear your seat belt at all times.
+ Do you provide larger vans other than seven passenger vans?

Yes. Legends can provide you with a late model passenger van that could accommodate up to thirteen passengers with out luggage. Please see chart for passengers and matching number of luggage (based on small-medium size luggage)

+ Does Legends allow smoking in the vehicles?
No. Smoking is prohibited for the driver and the passengers by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission. All vehicles must be clean and smoke free at all times. Your chauffeur will be subject to a summons and fine if he lets you smoke in the vehicle.
